This is a from a DVD Ware did for This American Life:

Alexie, Hornschemeier and Moriarty

I was introduced to Sherman Alexie with “War Dances” in the New Yorker. This book collects that story and others along with his recent poetry. You can check out that story in the following link:

All And Sundry is the latest from  Paul Hornschemeier. The book is broken down to two sections, the first section collects his illustration jobs and orphaned comics. The second half gathers a bunch of his sketches and notes. The first half hold’s the value of the book. Here is an axcerpt of the book:

The most recent Believer was it’s 2009 Art Issue. The cover story is Chris Ware’s interview of Jerry Moriarty and his seminal comic/art piece, Jack Survives which debuted in RAW comics in the early 80’s.  Follow the link to the article:

The song isn’t very special but the video is. Irish animator David O’Reilly directed the music video for U2’s “I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight”.  He has a HD version on his website.

His website also has his awarding winning short, “Say Something” which reminds of Chris Ware’s Quimby the mouse and ultimately George Herriman’s Krazy Kat.

Granta used to be a must read for me, but I have long stopped my subscription but still cherry pick issues. The current one is their “New Fiction Special” and has a piece by Chris Ware. Oh ya, it also has Paul Auster, Mavis Gallant, John Banville and a host of others.
